Recently I purchased a set of Suzuki Humming Tremolo Harmonicas (Series SU21H and I was extremely pleased with them. These harmonicas are finely crafted with a plastic comb. They are comfortable to hold and do not require much effort to produce a beautiful sound.
Shortly thereafter, I was introduced to a step-up version of this style of harmonica, the Suzuki Humming High-Class Harmonica (Series SU21W. I purchased one of these, which cost about $35.00 more. It is constructed similarly in appearance, shape and size. The only difference being the price because this harmonica has a comb of a wood/resin composite. This, in theory, should result in a finer and richer tone.
When comparing the two types, I really honestly can't say that I noticed much of a difference in sound and tone. It is possible that there may be a difference, but I didn't notice any.
In either case, both of these sets of harmonicas are of excellent quality and I would not hesitate to recommend either of them to you.
I would also like to add that I am extremely pleased with the Musicians Webstore as a source for my harmonica requirements. Their selection of harmonicas is extensive and their customer service department is reliable. All my purchases have been properly filled and my orders have arrived in perfect condition within a few days.
I am also very pleased with the courtesy, help and guidance that Kaz has extended tome whenever I needed advice in regards to my harmonica purchases. He certainly knows his "stuff", so to speak.
